Axel Ngando Elessa (born July 13, 1993 in Asnières-sur-Seine ) is a French football player of Cameroon origin.
Club career
Ngando began playing football in the vicinity of the French capital Paris and played for various clubs before he was accepted into the youth department of the top club Paris Saint-Germain in 2005. A year later he was handed over to the Stade Rennes in western France . At Rennes, he continued to play as a youth and was named the club's best youth player in April 2011. In the same month he made his debut for the second team in the fourth division at the age of 17. For this he ran more often in the following season and was awarded a professional contract in April 2012.
Accordingly, Ngando was part of the first division squad from July 2012, but was still mainly used in the reserve. Nevertheless, he was able to celebrate his first division and thus his professional debut on February 2, 2013, when he was substituted on in the 90th minute of a game against FC Lorient . In the same minute of play, and thus in his first minute as a professional, he scored the goal to equalize 2-2, which also represented the final score. For the duration of the 2013/14 season he was awarded to the second division club AJ Auxerre , where he received regular match practice in the first team. In 2014/15 it was awarded again, this time to SCO Angers .
In summer 2017 he moved from SC Bastia to the Turkish first division club Göztepe Izmir .
National team
As an A-youth, Ngando was considered for the French U-18 selection in March 2011 and made his debut in a 2: 3 against Germany. He played three more games and moved up to the U-19s after the 2011 summer break . For this he was used eleven times until he was invited to the U-19 European Championship in 2012 . There he ran in all four games for his team, which reached the semi-finals. Subsequently, he was accepted into the U-20 team . With this he took part in the U-20 World Cup in 2013 , reached the final and was on the pitch when France secured the title in the final against Uruguay after a 0-0 victory on penalties. In November of the same year he was promoted to the U-21 .
