Axel Telzerow

Axel Telzerow (born September 20, 1970 ) is a German journalist and consultant.

Life

Telzerow grew up in Minden . In 1990 he completed his Abitur at the Herder-Gymnasium in Minden. Telzerow then studied from 1992 to 1994 at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen and from 1994 to 1996 at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, majoring in Modern and Medieval History, Political Science and Journalism.

Telzerow is married and lives with his family in Hamburg .

Career

In 1998 he was initially assistant editor and after three years editor-in-chief of PC Praxis at the Data Becker publishing house . In 2007 he moved to Axel Springer-Verlag and was initially deputy editor-in-chief of Computer Bild . In 2012, the print and online editors of Computer Bild were merged and merged with Computer Bild Spiele and Audio Video Foto Bild in Computer Bild Digital GmbH . Telzerow became editor-in-chief of these magazines and publisher of the online presence as part of this reorganization. In the same year, the relaunch of the magazines in print and online was started under his leadership. In 2014 Telzerow took over the editor-in-chief of Computerbild.de. In 2013 the Computer Bild Group published the new magazine formats eHome , Der Griller , PerfektInk and Serienstar, and in 2015 the website Testgarage.com was launched , which prepared Computerbild test reports in English for the American market. Online projects also initiated by Telzerow are ekitchen.de , evivam.de and egarden.de . In 2016, Test Bild was brought out under his leadership . Telzerow had his own weekly tech column in Computer Bild.

In 2017 he left Axel Springer-Verlag and founded his own consulting agency Axel Telzerow Editorial Consulting . In 2018 he took over the position of Chief Content Officer in Kai Diekmann's communication agency Storymachine .

Telzerow has been editor-in-chief of the Consumer Media division of the Funke media group since December 2019 .

Bentgate

In 2014 it became known that the new iPhone 6 can be bent with little effort. Telzerow demonstrated this in a video. In response, Apple banned Computer Bild from events and test products. The event met with a response (as Bendgate ) in the national and international press.
