Aylin Taşhan

Aylin Taşhan (* 1960 in Ankara ) is a Turkish ambassador .

Life

After graduating from TED Ankara College Foundation Schools in 1977 , Taşhan studied political science and administrative science at the Technical University of the Middle East in 1983 . In 1985 she received her Masters in Advanced International Relations from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and then entered the foreign service in Ankara . There she worked in the research department from 1989 to 1990. From 1990 to 1993 Taşhan was then vice consultant at the consulate in Aleppo , from 1993 to 1995 second class legation secretary in the North America department and from 1995 to 1999 second class legation secretary in Vienna . From 1999 to 2001 she headed the Western Europe Department and then from 2001 to 2005 was Counselor in Oslo . In 2010 she took over the role of master of ceremonies . On March 15, 2011, she opened an embassy in Maputo , the capital of Mozambique , which she has led as ambassador ever since.
