Böddenstedter Mühle is a residential area of ​​the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

The Böddenstedter Mühle residential area is located on the southwestern edge of the town of Salzwedel on the Salzwedeler Dumme .

history

In 1282 Margrave Albrecht donated the Böddenstedter Mühle to the dressmaker's guild in the old town of Salzwedel. The document from the Salzwedel archive literally states: molendinum adiacens lapideo ponti iuxta uillam bodenstede .

In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the mill in Böddenstedt is listed as De molendino in Bodenstede . In files in the Brandenburg State Main Archives , Der Müller zue Böddenstett is listed in 1593 , and in 1693 it was said: The mill is desolate , i.e. uninhabited. In 1745 there was again a water mill with two grinding courses. The Böddenstedtsche Mühle consisted of a jug , a water mill and a windmill in 1820 .

The name Böddenstedter Mühle was already common in 1873 . The place was last mentioned in 1957 as the residential area of ​​Salzwedel and was no longer available in 1995.

The location is listed again in the Saxony-Anhalt Viewer in 2019.
