Böhlerwerk is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Sonntagberg municipality in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .
The name is derived from the industrial company (today voestalpine Böhler Profil GmbH.), Which Emil and Albert Böhler established in the village from 1872.
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 152 building areas with 79037 m² and 101 gardens on 67937 m² in the cadastral community Böhlerwerk, in 1989/1990 there were 140 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 539 and in 2009/2010 there were 282 buildings on 565 building areas.
Agriculture
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. At the turn of the year 1979/1980 37 hectares were used for agriculture and 3 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000, 21 hectares were used for agriculture and 7 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry.
