The BCC Witten 1931 eV ( B illard C lub C rengeldanz) is a billiards sports club that is active in the discipline of carom and pool .
timeline
The club was founded in 1931 in the Langendreer district of Bochum as a carom club. In 1945 the club moved from there to the Witten suburb of Crengeldanz, used the restaurant "Haus van Lengen" as a club house and renamed itself to Billard Club Crengeldanz . In 1981 the company moved to the “Lenk Krug” restaurant on Herberer Strasse. After participating in national gaming operations, the company moved again in 1987 to the “Albert Martmöller Gymnasium” and the name of the place was added. In 1989 the Witten association "Billard-Gesellschaft Witten-Wannen 1933 eV" is incorporated. In 2001, the teams of the BCC Witten were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in both three-cushion and all- around competitions. After only two years, the BCC Witten managed a renewed promotion, with both teams they now play in the 1st Bundesliga . In 2004 the club withdrew from the all-around competition. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Witten was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2007. In the same year, the school needed the premises for its own use, so a new venue had to be found again. In 2008 the local furniture store Ostermann made a dream possible for the association. Ostermann provides 450 m² for four large and four small tables. At the same time, the association founds a pool billiards department and sets up four 9-foot tables. Success comes back and they get promoted back to the 1st Bundesliga. Two match days before the end of the season, the BCC can no longer lose its title. The team included: Eddy Leppens , Ronny Lindemann, Edgar Betzieche and Uwe Kerls. The club's greatest success to date is the 2008/09 runner-up. In the all-around competition, the BCC also registers for the 2009/10 season. In the 2011/12 season the club was runner-up again.
On August 26, 2012, the club won the German Cup Team Championship (DPMM) against BSV Velbert for the first time .
