Stefan Galla (born August 18, 1970 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German carom player in the three- cushion discipline and European champion.

Career

The beginning of his career lies in the free game and in the cadre . In 1989, in Moyeuvre-Grande , France , he was third at the European Junior Championships in Cadre 47/2, the winner was Frédéric Caudron . Two years later he made it to the final of the European Free Game, but was defeated by the Dutchman Jos Bongers.

In 1997 he finished third at the second three-cushion World Cup in Salsomaggiore , as well as at the following one in Porto .

After a third place in 1996 and a second in 2002, Galla managed to win the German three-cushion championship in Herten in 2003.

In 2010 Galla was three-cushion European champion at tournament billiards. A year later, Galla won the bronze medal at the three-cushion world championship for national teams together with Martin Horn . Both won the runner-up title in 2012. Due to a lack of skill, he canceled his team World Cup participation at short notice in 2013, and his club friend Markus Dömer from BCC Witten stepped in for him .

His brother Markus is also one of Germany's top players in three cushion.
