The brook from the Reißlerhof is an almost one kilometer long right tributary of the Sauer in the southern Palatinate .

The brook from the Reisslerhof rises at an altitude of 239  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau south of the youth camp at the Reisslerhof . It flows in a straight line through a wooded landscape to the east and finally flows northwest of Ludwigswinkel at an altitude of 232  m above sea level. NN in the Schöntal pond .

Schöntal pond

The approximately six hectare large and maximally two and a half meters deep pond was created at the beginning of the 20th century. The eastern part has been used for swimming and the western part has been used for fishing since 1961. Its color varies from pale brownish yellow to yellow. Its water temperature was 20.7 ° C in August 2010  and its pH was 7.3.
