Badr El Kaddouri ( Arabic بدر القدوري, DMG Badr al-Qaddūrī ; Born January 31, 1981 in Casablanca ) is a Moroccan football player .

Career

El Kaddouri began his career in 2000 with his home club Wydad Casablanca . After two years he moved to Dynamo Kiev . In his first five years with Kiev, the versatile left-footer was used regularly on the defensive, but it was not until the 2008/09 season that he rose to become a leader. This season he was mostly the captain of Dynamo Kiev, as the regular captain, Oleksandr Schowkowskyj , had lost his regular place in goal. He also helped his team move into the semi-finals of the 2008/09 UEFA Cup .

In August 2011, the Scottish club Celtic FC signed El Kaddouri on loan until the end of the year.

El Kaddouri plays for the senior national team in his home country and took part in the African Championship in 2002 , 2006 and 2008 . He also took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics with Morocco .
