Bagré is both a commune ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the Center-Est region and in the Boulgou province .
In 2006 the community had 29,164 inhabitants in three villages. The Bagré reservoir is located in the Bagré area .
The Bagré region is known throughout Burkina Faso as a rice-growing area.
