history
After the SNCF decided to set up a TGV stop for the city of Aix-en-Provence , the new line was built further east than originally planned. Little by little , bus lines were set up connecting the station with the surrounding cities. However, since most of the passengers come by car , the parking lot is often overcrowded. For this reason, another underground parking lot was built in 2009, there are now 2910 spaces in total, but there are still 900 cars outside the parking lots.
business
The station is served by 120 trains a day. There are train connections to Paris , Marseille , Nice , Ventimiglia , Toulon , Strasbourg , Toulouse , Lille-Europe , Rennes , Nantes and Dijon . Since March 2012 there has been a pair of TGV trains that connect the station with Frankfurt am Main in 7:31 hours.
