Infrastructure

Belfort-Montbéliard TGV station building

The Belfort-Montbéliard TGV station has a total of six tracks, two of which are through tracks for non-stopping TGV trains. The foundation stone was laid on October 15, 2009. There are two tracks for stopping TGV trains and two tracks for regional trains. The latter cross the new line at an inclined angle and have a central platform. These tracks belong to the Belfort – Delle railway line and should go into operation in the second half of 2012 and enable direct connections to Belfort , Delle and even Biel / Bienne . The connections to Delle and Biel did not open until December 2018. The Belfort – Delle line was renewed for this purpose. The station was inaugurated on December 1, 2011 by Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet , Minister of Transport.
