The station Delmenhorst is in the Lower Saxon town of Delmenhorst situated separation station . It lies on the Bremen – Oldenburg railway line and marks the beginning of the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway line .

The train station is located in the city center of Delmenhorst . While it is only an intermediate stop on the Bremen – Oldenburg line, the station was originally the starting point of the Delmenhorst – Hesepe line . The trains of the RB58 do not end in Delmenhorst, but are tied through to Bremen Central Station .
history
The station was opened in 1867 together with the Bremen – Oldenburg line. In 1898 the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway was put into operation. In 2010 the regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony was set up, which serves Delmenhorst with the lines RS3 and RS4 every hour.
Station facilities
The station has three platform tracks, which can be reached via the north and south entrances. The platform on track 1 is 56 cm high to allow barrier-free access to the trains of the RB58. The platforms on tracks 2 and 3, where all other lines stop, are 76 cm high. Both platforms have an elevator.

In the long-distance traffic Delmenhorst is two periods of the Inter City - line 56 operates which may be used between Bremen and Northern dike or Emden with tickets of transport. Individual ICE connections on lines 10 and 25 also stop in Delmenhorst on the edge of the day .

City bus transport
In city bus traffic , the train station and the central bus station represent the central transfer point in the Delbus urban network . Nine city bus routes (201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 208, 221, 222) and four regional bus routes (229, 238) operate on working days , 241, 450).
Heidkrug stop
In the east of the Delmenhorst city area there is another train stop at Heidkrug . The Heidkrug stop is only served by the RS3 trains. With the expansion of the regional S-Bahn network in 2022, the trains of the RS4 will also stop there and, together with the RS3, will run every half hour between Bremen and Hude.
