List of stops on the Regio-S-Bahn Bremen / Niedersachsen
The list of stations of the S-Bahn Bremen provides a general overview of all stations and stops the opened in 2010 and the North Western Railway operated Regio-S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony the network of the transport association Bremen / Lower Saxony . On a route network of 262.6 Kilometers in length and a line network of 301.6 kilometers are currently 58 stations. At 18 stations there is an option to switch to regional transport and at six of these stations there is also the option of using long-distance transport . The central hub of the Regio-S-Bahn is the Bremen main station , which is the only station served by all four lines and also has an outstanding position in Bremen's local transport .
The four regional S-Bahn lines connect Bremen , Bremerhaven , Oldenburg and Delmenhorst with each other and mostly open up the districts of Osterholz , Verden and Wesermarsch and, to a lesser extent, the districts of Ammerland , Cuxhaven , Diepholz and Oldenburg and thus predominantly the central area of the metropolitan region Northwest .
With the start of the second transport contract - probably from December 2022 - the network of the regional S-Bahn will be expanded and adapted. The RS3 will then lead from Oldenburg to Wilhelmshaven , while Bad Zwischenahn will be connected to Oldenburg and Bremen via the RS3X fast connection. The timing of the RS3 and RS4 are adjusted to each other, so that there is a half-hourly cycle with all stops on the way between Hude and Bremen. The trains will also run every half hour between Bremerhaven and Bremen during rush hour. In addition, the RB76, which runs between Verden and Rotenburg (Wümme) , will be integrated into the regional S-Bahn.
The Bremen 2025 Transport Development Plan contains further measures to expand the regional S-Bahn, some of which are, however, dependent on the available financial resources. Independently of this, the following projects are to be implemented: A new line (RS5) is to connect Bremen with Rotenburg (Wümme) and the Bremen railway junction is to be expanded. The latter is a prerequisite for a full-day 15-minute cycle between Achim and Blumenthal and a full-day 30-minute cycle between Bremerhaven and Syke . In addition, a new train station is to be built on Föhrenstrasse as a large local transport hub and the Grambke , Mittelhuchting and University / Technology Park stops are to be built.
Lines
The table provides an overview of the four lines of the regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony with all stations served, the line length and the average station spacing. The Bremen prefix is omitted for the corresponding stations.
