The Bremerhaven-Wulsdorf station is a branch station in Bremerhaven .
history
As early as 1862, the Wulsdorf municipal council requested the creation of a stop on the Geestbahn to Geestemünder Bahnhof ; however, it was not taken into account. Only when the Wulsdorf – Stade line was to be built did a change take place. In 1892, the municipality complained that the Wulsdorf farmers were cut off from their properties on the Bremen – Geestemünde route and could only get there via level crossings. Now the new route was supposed to be further tightened and there was a threat that the necessary land sale would be refused. The railway demanded an advance payment of 3,000 marks for the purchase of the property. The local council called for a passenger and freight station. If one were to agree on the part of the railway, one would want to vote accordingly in the municipal council.
In 1897, the embankment to Stade began to be backfilled, and on May 1, 1899, the Wulsdorf stop was completed. The Güterabfertigung followed on 5 January 1900. By 1907, 55,000 tickets were dissolved in Wulsdorf and taken 4,000 freight cars in reception. The route to Stade was of greater importance here. 13 passenger trains and 8 freight trains came from Bremen every day. There were 12 passenger and 11 freight trains in the other direction. South of the station on the western side of the railway line, where the first station building was also located, the Niederweserbahn small station was built in 1911 .
The former station building on the east side of the railway line dates from around 1910, when the Bremen – Bremerhaven railway line was extended to the Bremerhaven – Cuxhaven railway line and laid on a railway embankment. After the new route to Geestemünde, Lehe and Cuxhaven had been set up, the old station building was demolished to expand the freight yard.
With the decline of the fishing port and the fish dispatch station, the Wulsdorf freight station also lost its importance. Most of the buildings were demolished in the 1970s. Only the two civil servants' houses and the wash house have been preserved.
