history

On July 31, 1854, the section from Alfeld via Kreiensen and Northeim to Göttingen of the old north-south route was connected to the railway network. The train station of the then independent municipality of Salzderhelden was only inaugurated one day later, on August 1, 1854. The station building with the Heimatstube was built according to plans by Conrad Wilhelm Hase .

On September 10, 1879, the line from Salzderhelden to Einbeck (today Einbeck Mitte) was put into operation. The Salzderhelden station thus became a branch station.

In 1954 the Deutsche Bundesbahn took over the entire transport services on the Salzderhelden – Einbeck line from the Ilmebahn before local rail passenger transport was discontinued in 1975 . Since then, the 230 bus has been running between Salzderhelden and Einbeck.

On March 1, 1974, the patch Salzderhelden was incorporated into the city of Einbeck. The station was renamed Einbeck in 1978, the previous Einbeck station in Einbeck Mitte.

The Ilmebahn line existed until 2002 as far as Dassel and was then gradually dismantled to Juliusmühle . In the same year, the Einbeck-Salzderhelden - Einbeck Mitte line passed from DB Netz to the Ilmebahn GmbH .

The station has been called Einbeck-Salzderhelden since 1994.
