The station Kampen is a railway station in the town of Kampen . It lies on the IJsselufer in IJsselmuiden and is a terminal station at the well Kamperlijntje mentioned Kamperlijntje . The route is not electrified. The station has two platform tracks, but only one is used. Originally, the station was the terminus of the Utrecht – Kampen line .

The station building, which is designed in the Art Nouveau style and with its three towers, two of which to the left and right of the entrance portal, was built in 1911 and is the second building of the station that opened on May 10, 1865. The first building, completed in 1863, was a type building designed by Nicolaas J. Kamperdijk (1815–1887) for the building society Nederlandsche Centraal-Spoorweg-Maatschappij (NCS).

In December 2012 the Hanzelijn , a rail connection between Zwolle and Lelystad , was opened. On this route, Kampen received a new train station, Kampen Zuid (Kampen Süd). The Kamperlijntje was then to be converted into a tram, but this has not been done since then because the tender was twice unsuccessful. The aim would be to convert the line by the end of 2013, but the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), the Dutch state railway company , is expected to use the station until December 2015.

The station is served every half hour by NS trains to and from Zwolle. You can change to the Kampen city bus routes 11 and 12, which are operated by Connexxion , the citizen bus route 506, as well as to the regional routes 74, 141, 143, 682, 683 and 684.
