The Police station ( German  Pölitz , from May 8, 1945 to September 1, 1949 Polnica ) is the station of the Polish district town Police on the Oder in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship , which has not been used for passenger traffic since October 1, 2002 .

The station is located at 23.4 km of the Stettin –Police – Trzebież Szczeciński railway . About two kilometers to the northwest branches the railway Police Police Chemia for chemical plant Zakłady Chemiczne "Police" SA from the railway line Szczecin-Trzebież Szczeciński from.

history

The Pölitz station was opened together with the Stettin – Pölitz – Jasenitz ( Polish: Jasienica ) railway line known as the “Stettiner Vorortbahn” on March 15, 1898 (according to Polish sources on October 1, 1898). The advantages that became apparent after the opening of the railway line led to the decision to extend this line to the seaside resort of Ziegenort ( Trzebież in Polish ). The extension from Jasenitz to Ziegenort station took place on March 15, 1910 with the completion of the Szczecin – Trzebież Szczeciński railway line.

The line has been in Poland since the end of the Second World War and is operated by the Polish State Railways (PKP). In 1964, the Zakłady Chemiczne Police chemical plant was established . This was connected with its own railway line , which begins at Police station.

The line has been operated electrically since December 23, 1982. On October 1, 2002, passenger traffic on the route was discontinued. Because of the connection to the Police chemical plant, freight traffic will be maintained.

Investments

Police station has a total of four continuously passable tracks, three of which have a platform. Track 1 is on the house platform , tracks 2 and 3 on a central platform between them . The platforms were connected by a pedestrian underpass .

The imposing reception building of the station is empty.

Today's operation

Freight trains pass through the station without stopping and then either continue to Trzebież Szczeciński or to the Police chemical plant.
