traffic
Eldikan is the starting point of a more than 300 km long, year-round drivable road through the gold mining areas in the east of the Ulus to Jugorjonok on the Judoma, with branches to all mining settlements in the area. During the ice-free period, the settlement itself can only be reached by ship on the Aldan and in winter via an ice road on the river. A road from Chandyga (on the R504 Kolyma Nizhny Bestjach - Magadan ; until 2017 alternatively M56 ) up the right bank of the Aldan is planned; the first section to Jebariki-Chaja has been under construction since 2009. A winter road to the left of the Aldan also connects the settlement with the Ulus center Ust-Maja and further with Amga , about 300 km away , from where a fixed road leads to Nizhny Bestjach near Yakutsk, the shortest connection to the republic's capital.
The small airport ( ICAO code UEQL ) southwest of the town on the banks of the Aldan is currently not regularly served.
