traffic

Chandyga is on the R504 Kolyma trunk road , which connects Nizhny Bestjach near Jakutsk with Magadan (previously M56 , number still in use until 2017). There is no bridge over the Aldan, instead there is a ferry connection a good 30 km downstream, in the area of the Amga estuary. In 2009, construction began on a road that will lead up the right bank of the Aldan via Jebariki-Chaja to Eldikan . The 50 km long section to Dschebariki-Chaja is currently under construction, during which a nearly 400 m long bridge over the Eastern Chandyga was opened in September 2011.

The small Chandyga airport ( ICAO code UEMH ) is located about 70 km northeast of the town near the settlement of Tjoply Klyuch on the right bank of the Eastern Chandyga.
