Nizhny Bestjach ( Russian Нижний Бестях , Yakut Аллараа Бэстээх ) is an urban-type settlement on the east bank of the Lena in the Russian republic of Sakha .

Nizhny Bestjach has 3518 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010), has been the administrative seat of Ulus Megino-Kangalasski since 2007 and is located on the M56 "Lena" / "Kolyma" road . A railway line to Nizhny Bestjach, the Amur-Yakut Magistrale , which ends here until further notice, was completed in November 2011. Passenger traffic started in July 2019. On the opposite bank of the Lena is the capital of Sakha, Yakutsk . The Lena is two kilometers wide here, and it can increase fivefold when the snow melts. Yakutsk has no rail connection, and there is no bridge here.
