Mochsogolloch ( Russian Мохсоголло́х ; Yakut Мохсоҕоллоох ) is an urban-type settlement in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in Russia with 6,698 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 80 km as the crow flies south-southwest of the republic capital Yakutsk on the left bank of the Lena, which is almost 3 km wide .
Mochsogolloch belongs to the Ulus Changalasski and is located 13 km southwest of its administrative center Pokrovsk . The settlement is the seat and only locality of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Possjolok Mochsogolloch.
history
The settlement was founded in 1958 in connection with the beginning of the construction of a cement works . Since 1964 Mochsogolloch has had the status of an urban-type settlement. Her name in Yakut stands for place where falcons live.

Economy and Transport
The place-building company is the cement plant opened in 1971, which is now operated by the OAO Jakutzement and is the most important in the republic.
Mochsogolloch is bypassed to the north by the regional road R501 , which, coming from Jakutsk via Pokrowsk, continues about 20 km further up the left Lenaufer via Bestjach to Bulgunnjachtach . There is a ferry connection to Katschikatzy on the right Lenaufer, where the A360 Lena highway runs from Newer to Nizhny Bestjach near Jakutsk (previously M56 , number still in use until 2017).
