Besymjanny ( Russian Безымя́нный ; Yakut Безымяннай ) is an urban-type settlement in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in Russia without permanent residents (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is a good 400 km as the crow flies south-southwest of the republic capital Yakutsk in the northern part of the Aldan highlands . It is located not far from the right bank of the Kurung River, which flows 10 km to the northwest into the right Aldan tributary Elkon.

Bezymianny is located in the unincorporated area (meschselennaja Territorija) of Rajons Aldanski and is located 60 km east-northeast of the administrative center of Aldan .

history

The settlement was founded in the 1970s in connection with the development of gold and mica deposits. The place name stands for nameless in Russian . With the decline of mining from the beginning of the 1990s, all permanent residents left the place until the end of the 2000s. Despite this, Besymjanny still has the urban-type settlement status granted in 1981 (as of 2013).

A few kilometers northeast of Besymjanny passes the road that connects the small town of Tommot, a good 25 km north of the Aldan, with the village of Yllymach, 25 km south-east of Besymjanny (also an urban-type settlement), to the right Timpton tributary Bolshoi Yllymach (Great Yllymach). connects.
