The Schönermark (Kr Angermünde) Bahnhof is a former railway station in the district Schönermark the municipality Mark Landin in the district Uckermark . In 1881 a station was set up on the Szczecin Railway . In 1905 the Schönermark – Damme district railway went into operation. This ended in a separate train station in Schönermark. There was a track connection between the two parts. In 1979 the operation of the former circular railroad was stopped, in 1996 passenger trains stopped at the main line. In 2005 the station was completely closed.

location

The station is just under two kilometers south-east of Biesenbrow and over three kilometers from Schönemark. There are only a few houses in the immediate vicinity of the train station. The Passow station is located about 6 km north-east, the former Welsow-Bruchhagen station about 6 km southwest.

history

Since 1855 at the latest, the community of Biesenbrow tried to get a stop on the Szczecin Railway. Its construction was finally approved in 1881. The Count von Redern made the necessary land available, but insisted on the name Schönermark for the station. On November 1, 1881, the station went into operation, initially three trains stopped there in each direction. The importance of the station grew after the small railway from Damme via Gramzow to Schönermark went into operation on February 6, 1906 . The small train had its own station west of the state train station, a connecting track ended in the northeast area of the state train station. From January 7, 1910 on, Schönermark had full clearance rights in domestic and international traffic.

The station served mainly beet wagons for goods traffic, which went from the small train to the main train. In 1945 the small railway line was dismantled as a reparation payment to the Soviet Union, but rebuilt two years later. Due to a destroyed bridge over the catfish , the section between Gramzow and Schönemark did not go back into operation until 1949. Since then, the former circular route has also been under the control of the Deutsche Reichsbahn .

At the turn of the year 1978/79, Northern Germany experienced a severe onset of winter . As a result, on January 1, 1979, operations on the branch line between Gramzow and Schönermark also came to a standstill. Since this section was planned to be closed anyway, the Deutsche Reichsbahn did not resume operations and introduced a replacement rail service with buses, which was replaced by regular bus connections from May 26, 1979. Soon afterwards, the tracks of the former circular route between Gramzow and Schönermark were dismantled.

On June 1, 1996, the last passenger train on the main line stopped at the station. On July 2, 2005, the site was completely closed.

Platforms and tracks

The total length of the tracks within the operating point on the Szczecin Railway was about five kilometers. These were three main tracks, a siding and a loading track. A central platform about 300 meters long was planned for passenger traffic, which could be reached via a passenger tunnel from the station building on the northwest side of the tracks.

Reception building of the circular path

The line to Damme ended in its own four-track station, which was at right angles in front of the state railway station. There was a link via a 480 meter long connecting track north of the platforms of both stations to exchange the cars between the two routes. The district station had its own two-story entrance building, which is now used as a residential building. Until 1945 the district station was called Schönermark (circular path) . After the end of the war, the Kreisbahn became part of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and was operationally called Schönermark Nord ; in timetables, like the state train station, it was referred to as Schönermark (Kr Angermünde) .

Other plants

There were two interconnected signal boxes, of which dispatchers and guards operated 13 simple points, three track barriers and six main signals including the distant signals.

A goods shed and a loading ramp with a weighbridge with a load capacity of 30 t were provided for freight traffic .

The Kleinbasa in Schönermärker train station was connected to the knot basa in Angermünde with connections for all posts and the service connection of the deputy of the head of the train station.
