The L'Hôpital-du-Grosbois-Lods railway was a single - track, standard - gauge railway line in the French Doubs department .

On May 16, 1885, rail operations were opened by the Compagnie Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée (PLM), a predecessor company of the French State Railways (SNCF).

Passenger traffic on the entire route ended on May 22, 1932 and in 1988 goods traffic between L'Hôpital-du-Grosbois and Ornans was discontinued. In Ornans, the Alstom factory was last supplied, which among other things produces electric motors for the French high-speed trains TGV .

In 1995 the line was dismantled.

A cycle path has been completed on the route since 2005. This crosses the river la Brême on the striking 181-meter-long stone arch bridge at Maisières-Notre-Dame .
