The Bahrenfelder SV is a sports club from the Hamburg district of Bahrenfeld . The first soccer team was German runner-up in the ATSB championship in 1930 .

history

The association was founded on February 17, 1919 by workers from the apartment blocks on Bahrenfelder Kirchweg and Woyrschweg. The footballers took part in the games of the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association and mostly played at the Kreuzkirche , the sporting home of FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen . In 1924 the Bahrenfelder became champions of the ATSB district of Northern Germany for the first time and were allowed to take part in the games for the German ATSB championship . After a 1-0 win at Bremerhaven 93, the team lost 3-2 in the final of the Northwest German Championship to FT Gerresheim from Düsseldorf .

In 1930 the BSV was again champion of the ATSB district of Northern Germany. In the subsequent games for the north-west German championship , the BSV prevailed 4: 3 at FT Ricklingen and 3: 2 at SC Obersprockhövel and thus reached the final round of the German championship . With a 7-1 win over TV Steinach , the Bahrenfelder moved into the final and were traded as favorites there. However, the final was lost at TSV Nürnberg-Ost with 1: 6. In the following years the team disintegrated and when the National Socialists came to power in 1933, the BSV was banned. After the end of the Second World War , the association was re-established.

The footballers couldn't get beyond the lower divisions. Your sports field on Wichmannstrasse had to be abandoned in 1982 due to the expansion of the Elbe tunnel . Today the Bahrenfelder play on Baurstrasse. The boxing department produced a professional fighter in Lukas Schulz . The club also offers ju-jutsu , karate , cycling , back exercises and table tennis .
