Princess Bajrakitiyabha ( Thai สมเด็จ พระเจ้า ลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้า พัชร กิ ติ ยา ภา น เร น ทิ รา เทพ ย วดี กรม หลวง ราช สา ริ ณี สิริ พัชร มหา วัชร ราช ธิดา , RTGS Somdet Phra Chao Luk Thoe Chao Fa Phatcharakittiyapha Narenthira Thepphayawadi Krommaluang Ratchasarinisiriphat Maha Watchararatchathida , Pronunciation: [pʰátt͡ɕʰáʔráʔ kìttìʔyaːpʰaː] ; * December 7, 1978 in Bangkok ) is a Thai nobleman, lawyer and diplomat. She is a daughter of the Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X.) and his former wife Princess Soamsavali Kitiyakara . Bajrakitiyabha was the Thai ambassador to Austria from 2012 to 2014, then a public prosecutor at the General Public Prosecutor's Office.

Life

Bajrakitiyabha was the first grandchild of the then King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) . She studied law at Thammasat University until 2000 and international relations at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University . She then continued her studies in the United States at Cornell Law School , where she graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2002 and a PhD in Law (JSD) in 2005 .

She then worked in the Thai Mission to the United Nations (UN) in New York. She then returned to Thailand, where she runs various foundations to rehabilitate prisoners and improve prison conditions, especially for women. In 2006 she started working as a prosecutor in Thailand.

In December 2011 she went to Vienna as Chair of the UN Commission for Crime Prevention and the Administration of Criminal Justice . On September 4, 2012, the Thai government appointed her ambassador to Austria and permanent representative to the UN and international organizations in Vienna. She took up this position in early 2013. From April 12, 2013 she was also accredited in Slovenia and from October 2013 in Slovakia.

In October 2014, she returned to Thailand to become a prosecutor at the Prosecutor General's Office, where she was in charge of Nong Bua Lam Phu Province . As a result of her father's coronation in May 2019, she was awarded the highest princess rank Chao Fa ("Heavenly Princess"). On July 28, 2019, the king also gave her the title Krommaluang and the new name Rajasarinisiribajra .
