The Balanda ( Russian Баланда ) in the Russian Oblast Saratov is a 164 km long, northwest and orographically right tributary of the Don tributary Medveditsa .

The Balanda has its source on the Volga plateau and flows initially southwest and then southeast. It mostly runs through rural, sparsely populated areas, including Kalininsk . A little after passing Simonowka it flows into the Medveditsa .

Hydrology

Most of the water in the Balanda comes from melting snow on the Volga plateau. The catchment area of the river is around 1900 km².
