Balanovac ( Cyrillic : Балановац ) is a village in the Opština Knjaževac and in the Okrug Zaječar in eastern Serbia .

Balanovac is located on the southern foothills of the Carpathian Mountains , in the southern part of the Timočka Krajina region .

Residents

According to the 2002 census (self-nomination) there were 328 inhabitants. Of these, 326 were Serbs , one was a Slavic Macedonian and one person was of unknown nationality.
