The Opština Knjaževac ( Cyrillic : Општина Књажевац , German : municipality Knjaževac ) is a municipality in the Okrug Zaječar in eastern Serbia . The administrative capital is the city of the same name, Knjaževac .
geography
The community is relatively hilly and mountainous. The highest point of the municipality, and also of the region, is the mountain Midschur at 2,169 meters, on the border with Bulgaria .
The Timok River flows through the municipality with its two tributaries Trgoviški Timok and Svrljiški Timok . The two tributaries are also known as the White Timok and Black Timok . Further downstream, the White Timok and the Black Timok flow into each other, and the Timok flows into the Danube at the end .
