Balduin Herrmann

Johannes Balduin Herrmann (born June 24, 1856 at the Köckenitzsch manor near Naumburg (Saale) , † December 20, 1932 in Danzig ) was a German journalist and parliamentarian.

Life

Balduin Herrmann studied at the University of Jena . In 1879 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Jena . With a dissertation on a historical topic, he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. After graduating, he became a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Danziger Zeitung . After 1919 he was a leading member of the German Democratic Party . He was a member of the board of directors of the Central Association of German Industrialists .

After a by-election on October 22, 1915, he sat in the Prussian House of Representatives until 1918 as a member of the constituency of Danzig 2 (urban district of Danzig, Danziger Höhe, Danziger Niederung) . He belonged to the faction of the Progressive People's Party .
