Baltic raw org

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

baltic raw org - founded on May 1, 2000 - is an association of artists, dramaturges, humanities scholars and architects in the city of Hamburg in Germany . The core group consists of Berndt Jasper, Móka Farkas and Christoph Janiesch. The operational organization initiates temporary interventions in public space as action art . These are interim uses and short-term occupations of vacant spaces that are repurposed into curated art locations.

Working method

Baltic Raw Tower is an installation designed in a modular manner and serves as a platform for artistic and cultural interventions. BRT reflects the current discourse on artistic strategies in public spaces. I. Art and culture summer in the Hafencity, 2005

At the interface between architecture and sculpture, mobile spatial units are created that make use of elements and methods of serial construction. The modular construction is used site-specifically .

Like a relay reflector, baltic raw org receives signals and sends impulses in the interplay between producer and participating consumer. Daily changing exhibitions and performances use the energy of the mobile and situational. The result is a complex and hybrid, but fleeting form between gallery and off-space, stage and club - the place is "populated".

BALTIC RAW ORG is a social sculpture , the platform of which is used to explore and develop spaces of action and artistic action (s). The focus is on the participation of the audience. A dialogue and exchange about current social models and survival techniques through artistic positions takes place.
