Balyko-Schchuchynka ( Ukrainian Балико-Щучинка ; Russian Балыко-Щучинка Balyko-Schchuchinka ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 480 inhabitants (2001).
The village is situated at the mouth of Tschutschynka ( Чучинка ) in the kaniv reservoir dammed Dnepr , 32 km east of Rajonzentrum Kaharlyk and about 90 km south of the Ukrainian capital Kiev .
Balyko-Shchuchynka is the administrative center of the 50.906 km² district council of the same name in the east of Kaharlyk Rajon , to which the village of Uljanyky ( Уляники , ⊙ ) with about 270 inhabitants belongs.
The village was at the end of the 16th century in place of the extinct in the 13th century city of Kievan Rus Tschutschyn ( Чучин founded).
In the village there is the "National Museum-Memorial Bukriner bridgehead " ( Національний музей-меморіальний комплекс "Букринський плацдарм" ), an open-air museum at a competitive bridgehead of the troops of the Voronezh Front on the right bank of the Dnieper in Velyky Bukryn ( Великий Букрин ) during the Battle of the Dnieper in autumn 1943.
