Baqiao

Baqiao ( Chinese  灞桥 区 , Pinyin Bàqiáo Qū ) is a municipality in the sub-provincial city of Xi'an in the Chinese province of Shaanxi . It has an area of ​​322 km² and has about 440,000 inhabitants. Its name (literally: "Ba Bridge") comes from the river called Ba He灞河.

In the city district is the Neolithic Banpo settlement , which has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 1961 .
