Lianhu
The municipality of Lianhu ( Chinese 莲湖 区 , Pinyin Liánhú Qū ) is a municipality in the sub-provincial city of Xi'an in the Chinese province of Shaanxi . It is named after Lianhu Park (Lianhu gongyuan 莲湖 公园 "Lotus Lake Park"). Lianhu covers an area of 38 square kilometers and has a population of around 580,000. The municipality is the seat of government in Xi'an.
The city- god temple of Xi'an (西安 城隍庙, Xi'an chenghuang miao), which has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001, is located in the municipality .
