Gaoling
Gaoling ( Chinese 高陵 区 , Pinyin Gāolíng Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Xi'an in the northwestern Chinese province of Shaanxi . Gaoling has an area of 290 km² and about 230,000 inhabitants (end of 2004). Its main town is the large community of Luyuan (鹿苑 镇).
In the district are the Neolithic Yangguanzhai site (杨 官寨 遗址, Yángguānzhài yízhǐ ), the Eastern Wei Bridge site (东 渭 桥 遗址, Dōng wèi qiáo yízhǐ ) from the time of the Tang dynasty , and the Zhaohui- Pagoda (昭 慧 塔, Zhāohuì tǎ ), also from the Tang Dynasty, which are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
