Barbara Feichtner (born March 9, 1982 ) is a former Austrian biathlete and cross-country skier .

Internationally, Feichtner was used in cross-country skiing at the Junior World Championships 2002 in Schonach and was seventh in the sprint race. In the 5-kilometer freestyle she came in 63rd place. She competed in her first FIS races in 2000, and from 2000 also in the Cross-Country Continental Cup . In December 2001, she contested her first race in the cross-country world cup in Salzburg and immediately won world cup points as the 26th in a classic sprint. In 2004 she reached the points for the only other time in her eleven World Cup appearances and was 20th in a freestyle sprint. Between 2000 and 2007 she won 14 medals at Austrian championships. She was champion in the sprint four times, twice in the team sprint together with Maria Theuerl and Bettina Mesotitsch and in 2004 in Sulzberg over 10 km. At the Winter Universiade 2005 in Innsbruck and Seefeld in Tirol , she was ninth in the sprint. Two years later she reached the 26th place in the sprint and the 44th place over five kilometers at the Winter Universiade 2007 in Pragelato .

Barbara Feichtner achieved her success in biathlon on a national level. At the Austrian Championships in 2006 , she won the relay race title with Nicole Pfluger and Elisabeth Mayer representing the state of Tyrol . In 2008 she repeated this success alongside Nicole Pfluger and Julia Mitterndorfer and also won the title of runner-up in the roller-ski singles behind Pfluger . She lives in Schwoich and starts for WSV Schwoich . She studied sports science with a focus on training science and movement, health, fitness at the University of Salzburg .
