Barbara Hahn (singer)

Barbara Hahn (born May 9, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is a German opera singer (mezzo-soprano).

Life

She studied singing with Knoll at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 1987 she made her debut at the Bielefeld City Theater with the role of Dorabella in Così fan tutte . Her other stations include the Frankfurt and Leipzig Opera , the Teatro communale Bologna , the Bregenz Festival and the Freiburg Stadttheater , where she sang her first Hansel under Donald Runnicles . In addition to many mezzo-soprano roles, she also sang numerous operetta divas and also earned the Fidelio- Leonore, which she sang at the Saarbrücken State Theater . From 2001 to 2006 she was at the Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg , where she sang the Duchess in Hans Pfitzner's Das Herz . Since the 2006/07 season she has been a member of the Opera Choir of the Zurich Opera House in the Alto range .
