Barbara Melzl

Barbara Melzl (born December 27, 1957 in Basel ) is a Swiss actress . She is active in cinema and television as well as in the theater.

Life

Melzl completed her acting training at the Zurich University of the Arts . From 1984 to 1986 she played her first roles in the Freiburg Theater . In 1990 she played Lady Macbeth at the State Theater in Hanover . From 1993 to 1998 she was part of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Theater in the Residenztheater . In 1999 she appeared at the Schauspiel Zürich before returning to the Munich Residenztheater the following year. She has been employed there ever since. In 2000 and 2002 she was awarded the Kurt Meisel Prize .

Melzl had her first television appearance in 1982 in the children's series Anderland . In the same year she starred in the Swiss movie Pi-erotic relationships . In 1989 she could be seen in thirty years . 1992 followed a role in Divided Night . In 1999 Melzl appeared in the literary adaptations Woyzeck (based on Büchner's drama ) and The Kiss of Forgetting (based on Botho Strauss ). In 2002 she had a role in the film Dario M. and a year later she starred in Tatort . In 2006 she had a role in the ZDF television film Franziska's Sensitivity for Men . In 2012 she appeared in the episode Eyes of Oedipus of the Swiss television series Hunkeler . She had her next role in 2013 in the short film Miss Karla's first visit . In 2015 she was in the series The Rosenheim Cops . Melzl plays Anne's aunt Olga Spitzer in the literary film adaptation of Anne Frank's Diary , which was shot in spring 2015 and was released in cinemas on March 3, 2016.
