Barbara Peters (* 1942 in Berlin ) is a German actress , voice actress and singer .

In the 1970s she performed in the Berlin Reichskabarett , where she met the cabaret artist Georg Kreisler in 1976 at the birthday party of the singer and cabaret artist Helen Vita . In 1977 she became his stage partner and life companion. In 1985 they got married in Las Vegas during a trip to America and remained married until Kreisler's death in November 2011. From 1992 to 2007 they lived in Basel and since May 2007 in Salzburg .

Barbara Peters is best known for her collaboration with Georg Kreisler. Before that, after completing her studies at the Max-Reinhardt-Acting School (Berlin), she worked in theater performances and television programs as well as as a voice actress (e.g. as the voice of Olivia de Havilland ). This also includes working on radio plays .

Barbara Peters played among others starring in Ingeborg Bachmann's radio play The Good God of Manhattan and drama No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre . TV series she's worked on are Business with the Sun (as Karin Wiegand) and Kleinstadtbahnhof (as Antje Boddin). In the homeland film Grün ist die Heide (1972) she played a somewhat annoying friend of the main actor Roy Black . Even later she continued to be seen on theater stages, for example in the musical Jakobi und Leidental by Hanoch Levin (Vienna 1985), in Oben by Georg Kreisler (Salzburg 1989) and in Jealousy (Basel).
