The Bardsdell Nunatak is a largely ice-free and 2000 m high nunatak of the Palmerland in the south of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises just south of the Dalziel Ridge ridge in the Columbia Mountains east of the Dyer Plateau .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the geologist Mark Bardsdell from Columbia University , where the area around the 1970-1971 island arc Scotia Ridge in the Scotia Sea examined.
