geography

course

The barget arises from several spring branches near Sulzfeld on the western descent of the Haßberge . The official main arm rises at about 302  m above sea level. NHN southwest of Sulzfeld, a source called a mountain source.

The stream initially flows north on the western edge of the village and after about half a kilometer on its right side is fed by the Rothseegraben , which comes from the south-southeast and is much longer there .

On its further course, which is always north-oriented, the state road ST 2280 runs roughly parallel, the barget takes the water from numerous streams and meadow ditches as a receiving water. Worth mentioning here is the Schmuckenbach , which flows into it on your left between Sulzfeld and Kleinbardorf.

In the center of Kleineibstadt it finally flows into the Franconian Saale from the left after about six kilometers of the flow path at a height of about 259  m .
