Bartosz Kapustka (born December 23, 1996 in Tarnów ) is a Polish football player .
Career
society
Kapustka began his professional career in 2013 at KS Cracovia Krakau , where he was mainly used as a regular player. He made his debut on March 29, 2014 in the game against Widzew Łódź (1: 1) in the Polish Ekstraklasa . After the European Football Championship in 2016 , he was signed by the English champions Leicester City . After only playing in three FA Cup games there in the 2016/17 season , he switched to the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg on loan during the summer break . There he made his debut in the 4-0 defeat against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (4th matchday) when he came on for Marco Terrazzino in the 69th minute . Kapustka scored his first goal in the Bundesliga when Freiburg lost 3-1 to VfL Wolfsburg on November 18, 2017 (12th matchday). At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he was loaned to Oud-Heverlee Leuven in Belgium , where his loan contract ended on April 2 and he returned to Leicester. Since then he has played again for the U23 of the English club in the Premier League 2 .
National team
Kapustka played a few games for various Polish youth national teams. In the senior national team he made his debut on September 7, 2015 against Gibraltar (8: 1) as part of the qualification for the EM 2016 . He came on in the 62nd minute for Jakub Błaszczykowski and scored the goal for 8-0. He was also able to score a goal in his second international match against Iceland (4-2). He was used throughout the EM preparation and finally added to the squad of Poland . In the group matches he was on the starting line-up twice, only against Germany he only came on as a substitute. After two yellow cards, he had to pause in the round of 16. In the quarter-finals against Portugal, he came onto the field shortly before the end of regular time. The game was lost after extra time on penalties. In 2017 he made his debut for the U21s in his country in a friendly against Italy (1: 2) in Krakow .

In 2015 Kapustka won the election of the soccer magazine Piłka Nożna as the new discovery of the year in Polish football.
