Basia Liebgold
Basia Liebgold (born November 18, 1891 in Przemyśl as Basia Heu ; † 1942 or 1943 in the Treblinka extermination camp ) was a Polish actress of Jewish origin.
Life
Basia lovers gold was in 1891 in Galicia as Basia hay born. Her parents were Marcus Sauber and Mindla Heu . She began her theater career as a chorus girl in Galician theaters. After that she was committed to the role of the soubrette and then to that of the prima donna before she played more comical roles as she got older. After their marriage, she played in the same theaters with her husband. In 1936 she was engaged at the Novoshtshi Theater in Warsaw . She was seen in the 1936 musical film comedy Yidl mitn Fidl in the role of mother of the bride. Her son Leon also starred in the film.
On May 18, 1908, Basia Heu married the actor Solomon Liebgold in Przemysl. The two had three children, the two actors Jan Liebgold ( Yonek ) and Leon Liebgold and their daughter Toni ( Tanke ). After the beginning of the Second World War , Basia Liebgold went with her husband and daughter from Krakow to Tarnów , where she initially continued to play theater. She was taken to the Treblinka extermination camp in 1942 , where she was probably murdered that same year.
Her son Leon was married to the actress Lili Liliana .
