The Basilica di Santa Maria Ausiliatrice ( Basilica Maria, Help of Christians ) is a Roman Catholic parish and school church in the Roman district of Tuscolano . The 1931-1936 as a church of the adjacent Salesian built school complex neoclassical basilica was by Pope Paul VI. on June 7, 1967 to the title diakonia and on April 1, 1969 to the minor basilica .

architecture

The three-aisled church has a cruciform floor plan with a rounded choir and an octagonal crossing tower . The portal facade is flanked by two bell towers. Antique columns , gables and architraves structure the building.
