The bell tower is 92 meters high and was built by Benedetto Alfieri between 1753 and 1786 . It stands on the left side of the apse, made of brick and granite by Baveno.

The old tower was demolished due to damage to the structure caused by vibrations of the bell. In 1753 it was decided to build a new tower. The construction work was stopped in 1773 due to lack of money. Work on the tower was completed in 1786. The bell tower houses 8 bells in G major. In 1987 the peal was stopped to stop the cracks.

dome

The architectural peculiarity of the church is the 121 meter high dome designed by Alessandro Antonelli, the symbol of the city, visible from all streets. A meat tax in the first half of the 18th century ensured that funds were available for the construction of a dome. The first design presented in 1841 was not implemented because of the war.

organ

The organ was built in 1949 by the organ builder Vincenzo Mascioni . The instrument has 56 stops on three manual works and a pedal . The actions are electric.
