description
The aluminum-built catamarans are designed for the quick transfer of personnel and material for the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms .
The drive of the vessels is carried out by two MAN diesel engines of the type D2842 LE410 V12, each with 749 kW power . The motors act on two variable pitch propellers via reduction gears . The ships can thus reach a maximum of 28 kn . The range of the ships is given as around 775 nautical miles . The ships are equipped with two bow thrusters with 32 kW each. Two diesel generator sets, each with an output of 20 kW, are available for power generation. The engine rooms are housed in the floats of the catamaran hull .
In front of the aft deck structure there is an approximately 51 m² open deck (6 × 8.5 m). The deck can be loaded with 2 t / m² and a total of 8 t. 27 m² are reinforced to take heavy loads. The deck is fitted with container fittings for two 10-foot containers. A crane is located approximately in the middle between the bow and the deck structure on the port side. This can lift a maximum of 3 t; at a maximum radius of 7.6 m, the crane's capacity is 1.1 t. There is a derrick on the starboard side, which can also be used to lift people floating in the water through the side port at the level of the open deck.
Personnel can transfer to offshore structures via the bow. The ships are fitted with rubber fenders in this area of the main deck for approaching offshore structures .
The ships are driven by a crew of two to three . In the deck structure, next to the bridge on the main deck, there are twelve seats for people to be transported and a lounge with a small pantry . There is also a changing room and sanitary facilities. In addition, the ships are equipped with two cabins.
