The Bayerische Gemeindezeitung (abbreviation: GZ ) is one of the largest communal specialist newspapers in Bavaria with a circulation of around 10,000 and is based in Geretsried . The GZ officially describes itself as the trade journal of the KPV in Bavaria.

history

To the stalemate of the Bavarian community newspaper in December 1949 , the Munich publisher Richard Pflaum together with the newly formed Bavarian State Government and in coordination with the American occupiers had issued, followed on January 9, 1950 the first regular edition .

The aim was not only to provide the administrative officials with information, but above all to inform the elected mandate holders about their rights and duties and to give them practical instructions for their tasks. The Bayerische Gemeindezeitung is still based on this conceptual content.
