Froschau Castle
The lost Froschau Castle was located in the village of Finsterweiling , a district of the city of Velburg in the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate . It was Hofmark in the Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg . In 1807 the moated castle was sold by the von Weitenau family. The moated castle was demolished around 1961 after being rebuilt several times. Evidence of a chapel was discovered. All that remains of the castle are underground remains, which are listed as a ground monument.
