Herrenwald section fortification

The Herrenwald section fortification is located 1200 to 1400 m south-southeast of Premerzhofen , today a district of the Upper Palatinate market Breitenbrunn in the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate of Bavaria . The section fortification lies on the northern edge of the Herrenwald corridor, which extends between the lower citizens of Laber and the Breitenbrunner Laber .

description

Across the southern end of the plateau between the two rivers, at the edge of the forest, there is a low and in places sanded-off 450 m long wall. In some places this is jagged. Its west and east ends each bend south and run out into the partly pronounced slope surface. The complex is classified as prehistoric and prehistoric and possibly also estimated as medieval. Part of the fortification seems to have recently been laid out as an economic border.
